COFDM is a modulation scheme that divides a single digital signal across 1,000 or more signal carriers simultaneously. The signals are sent at right angles to each other (hence, orthogonal) so they do not interfere with each other

Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (COFDM). COFDM uses a very different method of transmission to older digital radio modulation schemes and has been specifically designed to combat the effects of multipath interference for mobile receivers.

Our COFDM transmission product is available in the following forms:

Separately metal boxed Transmitter and Receivers for Covert and Mobile applications

2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz versions in the license free frequencies

S-Band and other user specific versions are available upon request

The  Transmitter has video, audio and data inputs.  The video is compressed by an MPEG2 encoder.  The audio is compressed by an encoder.  The digital video and audio packets are then multiplexed with the data packets.  The multiplexed stream is then modulated by a COFDM modulator, before being upconverted to a desired frequency band. It is then Transmitted to the receiver

The  RX takes the received signal in at its input, downconverts this, then demodulates.  The demodulated digital stream is then decoded back to the original video, audio and data.
