The VideoCarbon Digital Shift Recorder (DSR) is an advanced, battery-powered, HDD-based digital video recorder that

sets a new precedence for capturing high-quality evidentiary video during a work-shift. Compact and robust, the DSR

seamlessly records video evidence in the demanding high shock and vibration environments that today's Law

Enforcement and Security personnel work in every day. The DSR reliably records high-quality digital video throughout

the work-shift when ever and where ever duty calls.

The versatility of the DSR is unprecedented. Portable enough to be body-worn to capture those important incidents away

from the vehicle, the DSR easily slips into its fixed vehicular dockable housing to support comprehensive in-vehicle event

recording. At the end of the work-shift, the DSR goes to the desktop and slips into its cradle for archival of the day's

events. No product in the marketplace can match the diverse utility of the VideoCarbon DSR.

With features such as embedded time-date stamping and pre-event recording, the DSR delivers comprehensive feature

sets usually found only in 'facility-based' digital recorders. Versatile remote recording options such as NO\NC event triggered

recording; as well as wired-remote, manually triggered recording, illustrates the DSR's broad utility. Further,

the DSR has the unique ability to provide power to external 12V cameras and microphones through a single quick release,

locking A/V connection, eliminating the weight of additional batteries and the clutter of cable harnesses.

Even with this high level of sophistication, the DSR is still very easy to use. In the field, the unit is controlled through

simple two-button operation to both power-on the unit and to record a video clip. Video content can be viewed locally on

an external monitor via its A/V output port. In the office, previously recorded video content can be easily played back

through either a TV monitor or a Windows-based personal computer simply by setting the DSR into its base station.

A unique serial number for each DSR is embedded in all video content recorded on the DSR to maintain chain-of evidence.

An optional a 'digital key' prevents accidental erasure or the unauthorized copying of previously recorded clips.

Video content can be archived to a personal computer via USB and recorded directly to DVD with Windows-based DVD

authoring software.
